Brut Cava "Pinot Noir", CODORNIU - Penedes, Spain
Spain's first rose cava made entirely from the stylish Pinot Noir grape, reflecting the spirit of Codorniu; a combination of pure elegance and innovation. The first fermentation is an extraction of 60% of the must which will ferment in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 15 and 18 degrees C. The obtained wine will ferment a second time in the bottle at a temperature between 12 and 15 degrees C. This second fermentation, elaboration and bottle ageing follows the strict rules of the 'Methode Traditionnelle'. "Pale and refreshing sparkling cherry-red colour along with fine, plentiful and perpetual fizz. The bouquet is reminiscent of recently picked and deliciously ripe summer fruits - particularly raspberries and blackcurrants intermingle, yielding an incredibly fresh taste with a very subtle citrus flavour. Abundant palate sensations that suggest preserves and elegance further layer upon the aromas to provide a unique sensory experience." "Abundant & Fresh"
- 87 Points "Highly Recommended" "BEST BUY" Wine.

CNW Cuvee "Chard-No-Way" Wilson Vineyard, VINUM Cellars - Clarksburg, California
"Will Work for Chenin" is the eccentric label for this wine with 'CNW' standing for 'Chard-No-Way'. Chenin Blanc (when well made) rivals some of the greatest white wines of the world. This wine, made from 100% Chenin was made from cool climate grapes, barrel fermented in old French oak and aged 9 months. Blah, blah, blah, blah… Forget about all that stuff! Rediscover well-made Chenin Blanc. "Aromas of pear, and ripe melon. Fairly dry, tropical notes on the palate, with flavors of citrus and pineapple that finishes with lively acidity." "Lively & Tropical".

Lugana "San Benedetto", ZENATO - Veneto, Italy
Sergio Zenato, the winemaker, is meticulous in his selection of grapes and unfinished new wines, and the Zenato estate has received numerous citations for its efforts to elevate the quality of the wines of the region. The wine is made from the Trebbiano di Lugana. The result is a lower yielding, higher quality vine than the Tuscan version. Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine remains in tank for only 6 months, and is aged a few months longer in bottle prior to its release. "A delicate, flowery bouquet with a hint of mandarin: dry with good fruit and balanced acidity." "Med-Bodied & Ripe". 2005 Vintage

Pinot Noir (Central Valley), CONO SUR - Colchagua, Chile
100% Pinot Noir from vineyards made up of alluvial and gravely soils, low in fertility. Vertical trellis, drip irrigation and integrated pest management including INIA bands and geese for burritos. Pruning is cordon with 2 buds spurs every 10 cms, 40% leaf removal. Climate is gentle, with cool nights and foggy mornings. Mechanically harvested in March, the grapes are destemmed, 100% cold maceration at 46 degrees F, stainless steel fermented for 5 days at 84 degrees F. The wine goes through malolactic and is aged in stainless steel with innerstaves, 100% of the blend (21% contact surface). Clarified, cold stabilized and lightly filtered. "A medium-bodied wine with a harmonious blend of fruit and savoury flavours. Rich cherries and plums give way to spice and truffle characters, as well as some chocolate and toasty oak. The palate is full and fleshy, structured with some firm and fine-grained tannins. Try with roast lamb and seasonal roast vegetables." "Cherry & Truffle"
